Kasthuri Turmeric (Curcuma aromatica) is a rare, pale-cream turmeric, traditionally prized in Kerala for face and skin care. It is not the bright yellow turmeric used in cooking. It has a warm, camphor-like aroma and a gentle, cooling feel on the skin.

How to use

How to Use

  1. Take 1-2 teaspoon of powder in a clean, dry bowl.
  2. Mix with one of these - pure milk, curd, pure honey, rose water or plain water - to make a smooth paste.
  3. Apply evenly on the face and neck, avoiding the eyes.
  4. Leave for 20 to 30 minutes.
  5. Rinse with water and pat dry.

Use 2 to 3 times a week for best results.

Patch test first: Apply a small quantity of paste on skin other than the face (such as the inner elbow) for 20-30 minutes, wait for 24 hours before regular use. Not for people allergic to turmeric.
